Where Sky Meets Water Project..
The Where Sky Meets Water Project was a beautiful spectacle, celebrating the harmony and synchronicity between spirit and matter. We were blessed with glorious weather; warm sunshine and calm winds.
Thanks to all of you who participated; those who came specifically for the project and those who happened by. You helped make this peace ritual meaningful, transforming the Chicago River into a sacred space for a brief moment in time. I hope it was as evocative and memorable an experience for you as it was for me. The leaves stayed afloat for over two hours, reflecting the sky, linking all our voices and wishes for peace.
Thanks to our sponsor, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs' Public Art Program.
Special thanks to the canoeist participants who slowly and rhythmically floated over 600 leaves in the river, immersing themselves completely in this ritual of peace.
All of you who could not be there I hope to continue this traditional offering for peace in other venues at other times and hopefully you can join me there.
In the meantime here are some outstanding photographs thanks to participants Ajit Monteiro, Dale Griffen, Josie Disterhoft, Pushpika Freitas and Thomas Marlow.

I hope that those of you who took leaf packets will write your own wishes on the enclosed leaves
and float them in your neighborhood lakes and rivers. I would love to receive a picture
of your leaf or any comments or ideas you might have pertaining to this project.
