The textile pieces, which make up my most recent work, are embroidered by women from Marketplace, Handwork of India, an organization that operates in Golibar, a low income area in Mumbai (Bombay) India and promotes economic development and personal empowerment. I travel to India at least once a year and continue to do design work for Marketplace. My family has been involved in this community for over thirty years as a result of which we have now each become part of our larger extended families. You can learn more about Marketplace at www.MarketPlaceIndia.com
